Tufanganj, 04th April: Sensation prevailed after a huge cache of liquor was recovered from Tufanganj-1 BDO Subhajit Dasgupta’s car during a checking conducted by the Assam Police, on Friday night. Four men including the BDO’s driver were arrested.
While the incident created quite a stir in the area, the Cooch Behar DM and Police Super are keeping mum on the situation.
Meanwhile, the Tufanganj-1 BDO, in his defense, stated that the driver left with the car after completing the duty hours and claimed to have no knowledge of what happened next.
