Phansidewa, 07th February: A fire broke out late Thursday night, reducing an empty house to ashes in the Ghoshpukur area of Phansidewa, creating a stir among locals.
As per reports, the house belonged to Anjali Ghosh, who had stopped living there after her husband’s death. Late at night, local residents noticed flames engulfing the house and immediately informed the police. The police, in turn, alerted the Matigara fire station. Local resident Dhiru Roy said the family is extremely poor and had left the house a few days ago. He appealed to the government for assistance for the affected family.
Meanwhile, the police of Ghoshpukur outpost in Phansidewa have launched an investigation into the incident.
