Hotel Blue Mountain Sex Scandal: Sixth accused arrested in Siliguri

Siliguri, 19th July: In another significant breakthrough, police arrested the sixth accused in connection with the prostitution racket operating at Blue Mountain Hotel and Resort in Siliguri. The accused, identified as Nima Lama, was arrested by the Special Operations Group (SOG) team.


It is to be noted, earlier on May 24, the SOG of Siliguri Metropolitan Police and the cops of Pradhan Nagar Police Station exposed the prostitution racket functioning under the guise of a party at the said hotel located at Salbari in Siliguri. During this, three customers from Bihar, Vineet Gautam, Abhishek Gautam and Iqbal Ahmed Hashmi and Raju Sarkar of Siliguri were arrested and a woman was rescued.

Upon interrogation of the fourth accused, while on remand, police discovered the involvement of Sandeep Kundu alias Sandy with Raju Sarkar. On June 15, the fifth accused in the case, Sandy, was arrested by the SOG. On Tuesday night, the sixth accused, Nima Lama, was arrested near Vega Circle Mall under the Bhaktinagar police station area.


According to reports, the sixth accused, Nima, allegedly operated a prostitution racket disguised as a massage parlor. Today, the accused was presented before the Siliguri Court, following the registration of a case involving charges of trafficking and participation in the prostitution racket. During the court proceedings, the police requested remand of the accused to continue their investigation. Meanwhile, the police are actively engaged in further probing the matter.
