Siliguri, 12th June: Asymptomatic COVID-19 patients of Siliguri, henceforth, can undergo treatment while in home isolation. Such a method has already been adopted in different cities including Kolkata. Likewise, the asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patients in Siliguri too can stay at home and receive treatment provided they have a separate room and bathroom of their own.
In this context, Darjeeling District Magistrate S. Ponnambalam, on Friday, stated that several patients in Siliguri are already being treated at home. One can even hire an attendant to look after them and check their body temperature frequently. Nonetheless, the health department officials and the doctors are constantly inquiring regarding their health conditions. If the asymptomatic patients start developing any symptoms, they will be immediately taken to the COVID Hospital.
Meanwhile, Darjeeling DM stated that several patients who are at home are completely healthy as of now and further hoped that they will be free of the virus soon.
