Siliguri, 03rd March: In the recent turn of events, Hill Trinamool Congress has declared to support the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Bimal faction candidates in three seats of Darjeeling Hills in the upcoming assembly elections. The announcement was made by Hill Trinamool Congress Darjeeling district president L. B. Rai and Kalimpong district president and MP Shanta Chhetri through a press conference in Siliguri today.
According to the Hill TMC leaders, the decision was made considering Bimal Gurung openly declaring his support for the Trinamool Congress in the elections after his return from exile. Also, Gurung has been campaigning for the Trinamool candidate in various parts of North Bengal and the hills.
