Siliguri, 27th December: After joining Trinamool Congress, two hill leaders Binay Tamang and Rohit Sharma met SMC administrator Goutam Deb today.
At the end of the meeting, Binay Tamang said that the main objective of today’s meeting is to strengthen their party in the hills. Besides, there are several Indian Nepali inhabited areas in the SMC region and special emphasis will be laid on bringing the votes of the community to TMC.
On the other hand, Goutam Deb said that discussions have been held with Binay Tamang on hill development and organizational issues. There has been no discussion about the municipality elections so far. If necessary, another meeting will be held soon.
