Siliguri, 11th August: Hill Cart Road Muharram Committee and Welfare Society submitted a memorandum to Siliguri SDO Patil Shrinivas Vyankatrao today.
Addressing the media after submitting the memorandum, the committee representatives stated that the flyover which is being constructed near the Karbala ground at Burdwan Road is causing numerous problems for the people.
Many of the Muslim community come to bury their beloved ones at the Karbala ground, also during the time of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha, Muhharam mass number of people come to the Karbala. They added that after the construction of the flyover is completed, there will be no way or route to enter the Karbala ground. In view of this, the committed submitted a memorandum to the SDO today.
