Rajganj, 26th February: Mrinal Roy (19), a senior secondary examinee from Saheb Bari village in Belakoba, Jalpaiguri, is suffering from kidney disease. Due to financial problems, his family has been unable to afford his treatment.
The 19-year-old is a student of the Mudipara High School and will be appearing for his Higher Secondary Examinations, this year. Mrinal’s father Ramesh Roy is a laborer by profession and earns just enough to feed his family which includes three sons and a wife. His two other sons are also laborers by profession. Ramesh stated that he found out about Mrinal’s kidney disease, in 2013. Mrinal was taken to various hospitals and in South India as well. The doctors have advised that Mrinal undergo dialysis, but Ramesh will not be able to afford the cost of the treatment. So, Ramesh has appealed to the people for help.\
