Rajganj, 30th August: In recognition of his contributions to education, headteacher Pradip Choudhury of Sahudangi Hat P.K. Roy High School will be honored with the prestigious ‘Shiksharatna’ award.
Pradip Choudhury completed his graduation at Baharampur Krishnath College and his postgraduation from Calcutta University. After clearing his SSC exam, Choudhury joined Sahudangi Hat P.K. Roy High School in 1999 as an assistant teacher of Life Science. Later, he decided to remain in North Bengal and continue his career.
In 2019, he assumed the position of headteacher at the same school, where his efforts towards the improvement of the institution have earned him recognition among colleagues, parents, and students. In 2024, he was nominated for the ‘Shiksharatna’ award by the Government of West Bengal in recognition of his contributions to the field of education. The award ceremony will take place on September 5 at the Biswa Bangla Mela grounds in Kolkata, where the Chief Minister will present the award.
In this regard, Choudhury expressed that the award was the result of the combined efforts of his family, other teachers, and students. The students and teachers of the school are rejoiced over Choudhury’s accomplishments.
