Kharibari, 31st July: In a tragic incident, the hanging body of a young woman was discovered in a house in the Batasi Jeevan Singh Jote area of Kharibari block. The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Sampa Bepari.
According to sources, Sampa had been ill for several years. The previous night, she had slept with her sister. When her sister woke up on Wednesday morning, she couldn’t find Sampa and, along with other family members, began searching for her. Sampa’s body was later found hanging in the kitchen.
The Kharibari police station was alerted and officers promptly arrived at the scene. The body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
