24 Parganas, 05th September: In a shocking turn of events, a chilling advertisement for contract killings emerged in Canning under subdivision of Dakshin 24 Parganas district, sending shockwaves through the community. An audacious young man openly sought contracts to take people’s lives, distributing chilling advertisements and business cards for his deadly services. The brazen nature of the act left local authorities stunned.
The individual in question, identified as Mursalim Molla, who also goes by the alias “Bullet,” advertised ‘contract killing,’ featuring his photograph and contact number on the materials. Besides distributing printed business cards, Molla went as far as creating posters to promote his illicit services within the area. Upon receiving information about the alarming incident, the police swiftly apprehended Molla alias Bullet on Monday afternoon. A subsequent search of the accused’s residence led to the discovery of a country-made firearm and two bullets.
Molla was presented before the Alipore court on Tuesday, where the judge ordered him to be remanded in police custody for seven days.
According to both police and local sources, Bullet had been previously arrested in August of the previous year on charges related to illegal arms smuggling. Additionally, he was the primary suspect in a case involving the murder of three individuals, including a Panchayat member, in the Gopalpur Panchayat area of Canning just a year ago. Authorities had arrested Bullet in connection with the said murder, although he had been a minor at the time and subsequently granted bail.
When questioned about his shocking advertisement soliciting contract killings, Bullet’s response was chilling: “It was my desire, which is why I had the cards printed. I did this to promote my services.”
