Siliguri, 23 February: On Friday, a Higher Secondary (H.S.) examinee was caught with a mobile phone in Siliguri’s Margaret School despite a ban on electronic gadgets and mobile phones in the examination center. The candidate is stated to be a student of Sri Guru Vidya Mandir.
Reportedly, on this day, during the Philosophy exam of the ongoing Higher Secondary (H.S.) Examination, an examinee took her mobile phone inside the examination center. Subsequently, while handing over the question papers to the candidates, the teacher present at the center sensed suspicion and informed the head teacher of the school and the board official. Later, the examinee’s answer sheet was taken away for breaking the examination rules.
In this regard, Kalyan Kumar Das, the Head Teacher of Margaret School, while speaking to a Siliguri Times correspondent over the phone, stated that after the question paper distribution inside the center, a mobile phone had been recovered from a candidate. The said candidate is a student of Sri Guru Vidya Mandir. He added that complete information has been provided to the Central Committee of the Board. The Committee is engaged in examining the entire matter.
