GTA Sabhasad and former TMC member Binoy Tamang lodges complaints over election irregularities in Darjeeling Hills

Darjeeling, 05th July: In a recent press release, prominent GTA Sabhasad and former TMC member Binoy Tamang expressed concern over the increasing election irregularities in the Darjeeling hills. Tamang highlighted the open violation of the moral code of conduct and the prevailing law and order situation, just an hour before, during a press conference held yesterday.


 


Tamang stated that he had taken immediate action by lodging written complaints with several authoritative bodies, including the Governor of West Bengal, the Chief Election Commissioner of the state, the District Election Officer, the Election Commission MCC, and the Panchayat Election Officer of Darjeeling Pulbazar Development Block.

 

In support of his claims, Tamang attached copies of the correspondences with the press release, which showcased the evidence of the reported irregularities. The complaints shed light on various issues compromising the integrity of the upcoming panchayat elections in the region.
