Siliguri, 11th March: Several youths were accused of harassing and bullying a young woman in the Natun Para area adjacent to Ward No. 5 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
It has been alleged that the young woman and her brother were returning from a relative’s house yesterday afternoon when the accused youths passed inappropriate comments at her.
Meanwhile, the father of one of the accused allegedly begged for forgiveness on behalf of his son Mukesh Mahato. But Mukesh’s adamant behavior towards the whole incident left no choice for the victim’s family than to file a complaint at the Khalpara Police Station demanding strict punishment against those involved.
