Siliguri, 8th April: Greater Cooch Behar People’s Association has withdrawn support from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and extended support to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The members of the organization revealed the information through a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club on Monday.
Reportedly, the Greater Cooch Behar People’s Association was in support of the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, however, this time they extended support to the TMC while accusing the BJP of not fulfilling its commitments.
The organizations Spokesperson Nipak Kumar Barman stated that TMC’s election manifesto would be released on April 12. He added that, if their concerns are not highlighted in TMC’s manifesto, they would opt for NOTA.
