Darjeeling, 15th August: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur at Gorkha Stadium in Lebong, Darjeeling. Anjul Chauhan, President of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA), hoisted the national flag as the chief guest. The event was graced by the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, along with other dignitaries.
The ceremony featured a vibrant parade with participation from students of various schools and colleges, NCC cadets, and pipe bands. Several schools also showcased impressive drills.
The event was organized by the GTA and witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the patriotic spirit of the occasion.
