Siliguri, 17th January: The silver jubilee celebrations of Kabi Sukanta High School in Siliguri concluded with a grand event, marking the end of a year-long series of programmes. The occasion created a festive atmosphere across the school campus. To commemorate the milestone, the school organised a procession that witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers and students.
As part of the silver jubilee year, the school undertook several cultural and educational initiatives. On Thursday, students presented various performances, while teachers staged a well-received drama. Baul and Dotara band performances were also organised as part of the celebrations.
The concluding programme on Friday was attended by Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, SJDA Chairman Dilip Dugar, Ward No. 47 Councillor Amar Ananda Das, Councillor Nurul Islam, former councillor Snigdha Hazra, MMIC Gargi Chatterjee, Councillor Biman Tapadar, along with several other dignitaries. The guests were felicitated by the school authorities during the event.
Students presented a documentary based on patriotism, while a musical performance by by singing reality show fame Rafa Yeasmin from Malda was one of the main highlights of the programme.
The headmaster of the school said that the silver jubilee celebrations would motivate students in the fields of education and cultural development in the years ahead. The headmaster also expressed gratitude to all those associated with the school for their support in making the celebrations a success.
