Siliguri, 02nd July: Amidst tension surrounding the affected couple in Chopra, Governor CV Ananda Bose abruptly departed from the State Guest House on Monday after expressing strong criticism against the state government at the airport.
Originally scheduled to leave for Chopra to visit the distressed couple involved in a recent incident, the Governor had to alter his plans after he was informed that the couple was currently reluctant to speak on that matter.
While addressing the media at the airport before his departure, Governor Bose stated that the doors of Raj Bhawan were wide open for the distressed citizens seeking justice. He further voiced his criticism against the state government and expressed his dismay over the safety conditions of women in West Bengal under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s administration. He further submitted a report to the centre regarding the matter.
