Siliguri, June 26: In the wake of incidents of violence emerging from different parts of the state ahead of the Panchayat polls, Governor CV Ananda Bose has decided to personally visit several districts to conduct a fact-check and ascertain the true nature of the situation. The Governor had already revealed his intentions during his visit to the Darjeeling District on Monday.
During a press conference held at the State Guest House on Monday afternoon, the Governor announced his plans to visit areas affected by violence and meet with individuals and families who have been impacted. He expressed concerns over conflicting reports of violence, which have raised questions about the actual ground reality. The purpose of these visits is to gather accurate information and provide appropriate guidance based on the true situation. The Governor revealed his itinerary, which includes visits to Siliguri, Cooch Behar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Murshidabad, Alipurduar, and Jalpaiguri, apart from other districts.
