Governor CV Anand Bose confronted with black flags at North Bengal University

Siliguri, 26th June: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose was greeted with black flags upon his arrival at North Bengal University (NBU) in Siliguri. Members of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad waved the flags and raised slogans.


According to reports, the Governor met with the Vice-Chancellor of NBU today and engaged in discussions for approximately an hour during the executive meeting. Following the meeting, the Governor addressed the media, stating that the State Election Commissioner has been appointed to determine the number of phases for the upcoming Panchayat election in the state.

Meanwhile, as the Governor was leaving NBU, members of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad waved black flags and voiced slogans. The protestors accused the Governor of impeding the educational environment in the state, leading to the initiation of the protest.
