Siliguri, 07th November: An incident of mishap surfaced where a pickup van carrying food items, on its way to Namchi, overturned on the road in the Gurung Basti area of Siliguri. No casualties have been reported by the accident.
As per reports, on Monday night, the pickup truck lost control in the area near Margaret School, while avoiding a collision with another vehicle and collided with the divider and overturned on the road. Consequently, traffic remained halted until the recovery.
Following the incident, the cops of the Pradhan Nagar police station and Siliguri Junction traffic guard arrived at the spot. Later, the vehicle was lifted with the help of a crane and was taken to the police station. Subsequently, the traffic congestion returned to normal.
