Darjeeling, 31st August: The Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) organized the Rashtriya Gorkha Bonbo Mahotsav on Thursday in Darjeeling. During the occasion, the shamans carried out a rally from the town to the Mahakal Mandir and subsequently gathered at Chowrasta. The program witnessed the presence of GNLF President Maan Ghising and MLA Neeraj Zimba.
During the occasion, GNLF President Maan Ghising stated that the Bonbo is being celebrated even this year continuing the age-old legacy. He added that the Bonbo Mahotsav is a means to preserve the tradition and showcase the culture to future generations.
