Darjeeling, 16th January: Condemning the statement of BJP leader Dilip Ghosh in which he has allegedly called the 11 martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the 2017 agitation, antisocial elements were rightly shot by the Police for vandalizing the government properties, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJMM), today, burnt the effigy of Ghosh in different places.
The Morcha has asked Ghosh to take back his statement. They also alleged that the agitation in the year 2017 was a conspiracy of the BJP under whose false assurance the then Morcha leader Bimal Gurung had started the agitation. They maintained that the Central Government had not intervened then and that they just wanted to create unrest in Bengal to come into power.
