GJM Mega-Meeting: Bimal faction GJM leaders take a jibe at BJP

Siliguri, 06th November: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha founder leader Bimal Gurung will be arriving in Siliguri from Kolkata today. A mega meeting has been organized at Indira Gandhi Maidan on behalf of the Bimal faction GJM to welcome Gurung along with party workers who also went into hiding with him after the 2017 Gorkhaland agitation.

It is to be noted, Gurung and his supporters have already left Kolkata by train on Saturday night. However, due to the railway blockade this morning, Gurung left Azamnagar for Siliguri by road.

While thousands of GJM supporters have reached the venue and are eagerly waiting to see the party’s President Bimal Gurung, several Morcha leaders including Dipen Malay and Binita Roka have already addressed the meeting at Indira Gandhi Maidan.

The GJM leaders in their speech took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janta Party and strongly condemned the role of Darjeeling MP Raju Bista for failing to fulfill the demands of the Gorkha community. The party leaders also criticised BJP for its anti-people policy.
