Fulbari, 26th July: A tragic incident surfaced on Friday morning, where the body of a young woman was discovered hanging from a bamboo grove near her house in Putimari, Fulbari II Gram Panchayat of Rajganj. The deceased has been identified as Jayanthi Roy. The incident has caused widespread sensation in the area.
Family and local sources revealed that Jayanthi Roy fell in love with a young man while she was still in school. Her family learned about the relationship and arranged for her to marry him. However, since Jayanthi was not yet 18, the wedding was scheduled for November. Everything seemed fine until this tragic event.
On the morning of the incident, Jayanthi woke up as usual, walked around the house, and even spoke with a neighbor. Shortly afterward, her body was found hanging in the bamboo grove behind her home. Family members and neighbors rushed her to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), where doctors declared her dead.
The family is in shock and unable to comprehend the reasons behind her death.
