Siliguri, 27th March: A unique message of goodwill and unity emerged in Siliguri during the Ram Navami shobha yatra. Trinamool Congress candidate and Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb joined the procession and went near the BJP stage to extend greetings to everyone.
At Hill Cart Road, Gautam Deb chanted “Jai Shri Ram” upon seeing BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh, to which the BJP candidate acknowledged with a respectful greeting. The grand Ram Navami shobha yatra on Friday saw Gautam Deb participating with his supporters. He hugged district president Arun Mandal near the BJP stage and extended Ram Navami greetings.
Gautam Deb also greeted not only BJP members but also workers of the Bangiya Hindu Mahamancha present in the procession, visiting various organizational stages to extend his wishes.
During the event, he was seen holding the Ram flag at times and chanting “Jai Shri Ram.” Later, he visited the Sevoke Road area to interact with participants and offer greetings.
Overall, setting aside political differences, Siliguri’s Ram Navami shobha yatra conveyed a strong message of social harmony and unity.
