Rajganj, 19th October: Eleven workers of Fulbari Truck Terminal staged a sit-in protest in support of various demands, on Sunday.
The protesters stated they have been working for the past 10 years with a salary of only 7 thousand rupees. Moreover, they are also deprived of PF, ESI, salary hike, bonus, and other benefits.
Despite approaching the owner in this regard, no settlement has been provided so far. A problem has also been reported regarding collecting the parking fee as no proper chart is available. Hence, they demand that the authorities must take an initiative to display the parking fee chart to the public and also to ensure the safety of the workers.
They further warned of continuing to protest if their demands are not met.
