Jalpaiguri, 31st March: On the occasion of Eid, fruits and sweets were distributed among patients in the maternity department and tuberculosis ward of Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital and Sadar Hospital. Around one thousand patients and their relatives received the distribution on Monday.
The initiative was undertaken by Rahman House Forum and North Bengal Industries Association. Eminent social workers, including Padma Shri Karimul Haque and Surjit Pal, were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Padma Shri Karimul Haque stated that fruits and sweets were distributed to all patients as part of Eid celebrations. He added that such initiatives help spread the message of unity and love in society.
