Siliguri, 16th December: A free homeopathy medical camp has started at Goudiya Sebashram Goshala in the Uttar Ektiasal’s Shanti Colony area of Siliguri. The camp is being conducted by renowned homeopathy practitioner Swapan Roy, popularly known as the “doctor of the poor”.
According to ashram sources, regular free medical camps were organised nearly 24 years ago during the tenure of the former Maharaj, but the initiative was later discontinued. With the arrival of a new Maharaj, the welfare programme has now been revived.
The ashram authorities said that the free homeopathy medical camp will be held on the second Tuesday of every month and will run throughout the day. Economically disadvantaged people will be provided medical treatment free of cost.
In addition, a 10-day Bhagwat Path programme began at Goudiya Sebashram on 13th December. Along with the daily recitation, prasad is being distributed among devotees. Local residents have expressed happiness over the ashram’s renewed social and spiritual initiatives.
