Naxalbari, 31st January: A free eye examination camp was organized at Panitanki under the initiative of Naxalbari Lions Club and Siliguri Lions Netralaya and with the assistance of Kharibari traffic police. A total of 56 people underwent eye examination in the camp. Medicines and eyeglasses were also provided.
Narendra Prasad, Devprasad Bhowmik, Anil Saha, Kaushik Acharya, and officials of Kharibari traffic police were present in the camp.
Kaushik Acharya, secretary of Lions Club, said that such camps are being held once a month. Police officials, vehicle drivers, and the common people got their eyes examined at the camp. Another camp will be organized at the Naxalbari police station next month.
