Siliguri,23rd December: A four-day acting workshop is likely to be organized jointly on behalf of Terai Cine Society and Kamta Cultural Society. The said workshop is scheduled to be held from December 27 to 30 at a private hotel in Kawakhali.
On behalf of the Tarai Cine Society, Buddhadev Barman said that the Rajbangshi community and the other tribes are lagging due to lack of opportunities in drama or acting. This was the main reason they came up with such an initiative.
Anup Roy, on behalf of the Kamta Cultural Society, said that every year they organize a traditional fashion show of the Rajbangshi community at a private shopping mall. However, no such arrangements were done this year in view of the pandemic.
Apart from the Rajbangshi community, artists from other communities can also participate in the event. Reportedly, the workshop can be attended free of cost.
