Siliguri, 05th May: Four youths were injured in an attack by miscreants at a club in the Kashmir Colony area, adjacent to NJP police station, on Sunday night.
Reports indicate that a group of 15-20 miscreants entered the Tin Batti Yuva Kranti Sangha Club in Tin Batti, Ward No. 32, while a group of youths was watching a match. The attackers, armed with sticks, iron rods, and hockey sticks, assaulted the youths, causing serious injuries to four of them.
The injured were immediately rescued and taken to a nearby private nursing home. Two were discharged after first aid, while the other two remain under treatment. One of the injured, Sonu Mahato, claimed that the attackers had previously set fire to their club, prompting the youths to lodge a police complaint.
NJP police quickly arrived at the scene and are now investigating the incident.
