Phansidewa, 14th January: A mishap occurred on the Church Road area of the National Highway No. 31 (NH 31) in Ghoshpukur of Phansidewa where a four-wheeler abruptly lost control and plunged into the sewerage adjacent to a tea garden. As a result, the driver, Anmol Ekka, sustained significant injuries.
According to reports, on Sunday morning, the speeding vehicle lost control due to the dense fog in the location and plunged into the sewerage attached to the tea garden in the area. Following this, the injured driver was immediately rescued and sent to a private hospital in Siliguri.
In the meantime, the Bagdogra police and the traffic police received the information and promptly headed to the spot. In addition, a crane was used to remove the vehicle from the sewerage. At present, the police are further investigating the incident.
