Siliguri, 23rd September: In a recent incident, four individuals have been arrested in Siliguri on charges of tyre theft. The suspects, identified as Pankaj Talukdar (24), Amirul Islam (30), Rahul Sikdar (28), and Abdul Nazirul (33), were apprehended by police officers of the Bhakti Nagar Police Station.
According to reports, the new tyres stored in a warehouse on Pranami Mandir Road were stolen. Subsequently, a formal complaint was filed at the Bhakti Nagar police station on September 20, prompting an investigation.
The police conducted inquiries and arrested the four suspects on Sunday. Following their arrest, the police recovered 28 out of 30 stolen tires from a market complex later that evening. The suspects were presented in the Siliguri court on Monday while the police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
