Siliguri, 20th January: In a swift operation, plainclothes police from Bhaktinagar Police Station arrested four members of a robbery gang before they could carry out their planned crime. The arrested suspects have been identified as Parimal Ghosh, Ram Das, Ravi Pradhan, and Vicky Nag.
Reports suggest that the gang had gathered in the PC Mittal Bus Stand area late last night, intending to carry out a major crime. However, the police, acting on a tip-off, raided the area and apprehended the four criminals before they could execute their plan. Several other gang members managed to flee the scene upon noticing the police presence.
Additionally, sharp weapons were seized from the arrested individuals during the operation. The four suspects were presented before the Jalpaiguri Court on Monday, and the police are continuing their investigation into the case.
