Siliguri, 19th November: Siliguri Police arrested four miscreants during a late-night operation on Tuesday. The arrested have been identified as Sonababu Sahani, Rahul Sah, Mohammad Chhotu, and Bittu Debnath.
According to sources, a gang of around six criminals had gathered in Tikiapara area with the intention of committing a major crime. Acting on a tip-off, Siliguri Police launched a raid. On seeing the police, the gang members attempted to flee, but four of them were captured at the spot.
Police recovered several weapons from their possession following the arrests. Siliguri Police have begun further investigation into the matter.
