Siliguri, 20th November: In a significant operation, undercover officers from NJP Police Station apprehended four individuals in possession of firearms and sharp weapons. The arrested have been identified as Suraj Sahani, Prosenjit Das, Raju Majumdar, and Mohammad Salman, all residents of different areas in Siliguri, including Nabagram, Gate Bazar, Suryasen Colony, and Tinbatti Colony.
As per reports, the accused were allegedly planning criminal activities in the Fulbari Mahananda Barrage area late at night. Acting on a tip-off, the undercover police team conducted a raid and arrested the suspects.
Police sources disclosed that the accused have multiple cases registered against them across various police stations. They were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
