Kharibari, 29th October: A distressing incident came to the fore after four men were taken into custody by the Kharibari police on the charge of gang-raping a minor on the eve of Chaturthi. The accused criminals have been identified as Sitam Khalko, Robel Roy, Ayush Munda, and Jitbhan Beg, all residents of the Pahargumia area in Kharibari.
According to reports, the criminals deceived and sexually assaulted the minor on October 18. Following the incident, a complaint was registered against the accused in the Kharibari police station. The Kharibari police arrested the accused criminals in response to the complaint.
Later, on Sunday, the accused were produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. The entire incident is under further police investigation.
