Rajganj, 18th January: Uttara Barman, president of Jalpaiguri district council, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a paved road. He laid the foundation stone of the road at Mukundavita under Mantadari Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block, on Tuesday.
It has been learned that the road is being constructed at a cost of around 32 lakh rupees under the initiative of the Jalpaiguri District Council.
In this regard, Jalpaiguri District Council President Uttara Barman said, “There was a long-standing demand of the locals. I laid the foundation stone of this road today. It will be of great benefit to the people of the area.”
Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Mantadari Gram Panchayat Pradhan Deepak Biswas, Mantadari Region President Lalit Roy, and others were present at the programme.
