Kurseong, 04th April: Rohit Sharma, former MLA of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) from Kurseong filed his resignation from the party’s Binay faction, on Saturday.
In his resignation letter addressed to party president Binay Tamang, Sharma stated that he made the decision to retire from the party as he wanted to stay away from politics for a while and also because he has not been politically active for the upcoming assembly election.
