Siliguri, 09th February: The former CPI(M) leader and Ward No. 4 Councillor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Parimal Mitra joined Trinamool Congress today. The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb handed over the party flag to Parimal Mitra during a programme held at the Bani Mandir School premises in Pati Colony area.
After joining TMC, Parimal Mitra condemned the role of CPI(M) and alleged that the party has not performed any developmental work due to which he resigned from all the posts of CPI(M) three months ago. On the other hand, it was reported that CPI(M) had expelled Parimal Mitra from the party on February 4 on the charge of performing anti-party work.
