Naxalbari, 10th February: The Forest Department has taken the initiative to ensure the safe transportation of Madhyamik examination candidates from forest-fringed areas to their examination centers.
The Madhyamik exam commenced today. Candidates from Tipukhola, Tirhana, Ord, and Tarabari in Bagdogra, along with Belgachi in Naxalbari and Panighata, were transported by special vehicles arranged by the Forest Department and state government buses.
Since early morning, these vehicles reached the forest-fringed areas and transported the candidates to their respective centers. Approximately a hundred candidates from these areas are appearing for the Madhyamik exam at various centers this year.
Additionally, helpline numbers have been launched in different ranges at the initiative of the Kurseong Forest Department to assist the students.
DFO and ADFO of the Kurseong Forest Department personally supervised the entire process. The initiative by the Forest Department and the state government has been well-received, with candidates expressing their satisfaction.
