Siliguri, 24th November: A forensic team and police from Ashighar outpost reached the Tharughat area near Sahu River in Dabgram II region of Siliguri to investigate the discovery of a husband and wife found dead.
Earlier, on 16th November, the woman’s body was found near the Sahu River with her throat slit, while a few hundred meters away, her husband’s body was found hanging from a tree inside the forest. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community. Police are investigating whether the husband committed suicide after killing his wife or if both were murdered in a pre-planned act.
On Monday, forensic officials collected multiple samples from the scene to aid the investigation. Police and forensic experts are working together to uncover the circumstances surrounding the mysterious deaths.
