Football Tournament organized by Naxalbari Rathkhola Football Academy to promote drug-free society

Naxalbari, 11th February: The Naxalbari Rathkhola Football Academy organized a knockout football tournament with the message “Yes to Football, No to Drugs” to promote a drug-free society.


The tournament was inaugurated at the Rathkhola Nepali Basti Football Ground by Arun Ghosh, Sabhadhipati of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, and Praween Prakash, Superintendent of Police, Darjeeling District.

A total of 16 teams participated in the competition, including six teams from Nepal. The opening match saw B.Y.C. Nepal face off against Raiganj, with Raiganj emerging victorious with a 2-0 win.


The event was also attended by social worker Bapon Das, the range officer of Tukriajhar Forest, two members of the Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti, and the General Secretary of the Businessmen’s Association, among others.
