Siliguri, 20th March: Election campaigning in Siliguri is at its peak, with candidates actively reaching out to voters. Amid this, two prominent faces from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have drawn attention for their different styles during the campaign.
On one side, Trinamool Congress candidate and Mayor Gautam Deb was seen at a gym during a break in campaigning. A video showing him lifting dumbbells and exercising on a treadmill has been shared on social media, drawing reactions that highlight his focus on fitness.
On the other hand, BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh was seen playing badminton during a campaign visit at Baghajatin Park. He was spotted holding a badminton racket and engaging with local residents, and the visuals of him playing the sport have also drawn attention.
This contrast between fitness and sports has added an interesting dimension to the Siliguri election scene. Despite these moments, both candidates continue their regular outreach, visiting voters and conducting campaign activities across the city.
