Siliguri, 17th November: A massive fire broke out today in the Matigara Panchakulguri area, triggering panic in the locality. The sudden blaze completely gutted three shops, while another shop was partially damaged.
Upon receiving information, the fire department rushed to the spot and, with the help of locals, managed to bring the flames under control. However, by then, the three shops had already been destroyed. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and the fire department has begun an investigation.
Locals said the damage could have been much greater if the fire had not been controlled in time.
