Siliguri, 28th November: A massive fire broke out at a house beside the ISKCON temple in Ward No. 40 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, reducing all belongings inside to ashes and triggering panic in the area on Thursday night.
According to local sources, no one was at home when the fire started. Residents noticed smoke coming out of the house and immediately alerted the fire brigade. A fire engine reached the spot quickly, but before the flames could be controlled, all household items, including important documents, were completely destroyed.
Fire officials suspect a short circuit as the cause of the blaze. The extent of damage is significant, though no injuries or casualties have been reported.
