Fire breaks out in scrap shops in Bagdogra, causes heavy losses

Bagdogra, 25th March: A fire broke out in Bhuttabari, Bagdogra, on Tuesday, gutting two scrap shops and causing significant losses. The incident created panic in the area.


According to reports, the fire started when garbage was burned in a grill shop, which then spread to two nearby scrap shops, destroying everything inside.

Upon receiving the alert, a fire engine from the Bagdogra Air Force and two fire engines from Matigara and Naxalbari rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.


Sources estimate the damages to be worth lakhs of rupees. Meanwhile, Bagdogra police reached the location and have started an investigation into the incident.
