Naxalbari, 17th March: A fire erupted in the Naxalbari Excise Department’s cantonment resulting in the destruction of furniture and numerous items belonging to officials.
According to reports, the incident took place when officials at the Excise Department noticed smoke emanating from the establishment, prompting immediate action to combat the fire. Subsequently, the Naxalbari Fire Department arrived at the scene and gained control over the fire.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was sparked by a short circuit. Meanwhile, many furniture and items belonging to the Excise Department were reduced to ashes.
