Kharibari, 24th December: Panic gripped the residents after a fire broke out in a bamboo grove in the Dudh Gate area adjacent to Panitanki of Kharibari.
According to reports, on Sunday morning, a sudden fire broke out in the bamboo grove in the said area. Upon noticing the inferno, the locals attempted to douse the fire. Meanwhile, the police and fire department were informed about the matter.
Upon receiving the news, the cops of Panitanki Outpost of Kharibari and an engine of the Naxalbari fire department arrived at the spot and brought the prevailing situation under control. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
